The Southern Pacific Zone?
The Southern Pacific zone is booming!! We attribute this to the greater commitment to zoning in the southern region which mandates a three story height restriction as well as a lower density of housing.Safe, clean and lush conditions are what you will find in this area, unlike the high density developments and clear cut land found elsewhere.Now with the commencement of construction of the new International Airport, the recent opening in April 2008 of the new Hospital De Osa and the paving of the Costanera from Quepos to Dominical, the southern region has become the focus ofCosta Rican real estate buyers worldwide.
The southern region is true tropical rain forest with abundant rivers and no water shortages like those commonly experienced in Guanacaste.
Transportation
A new International airport (2011) was approved in 2007 by President Arias, and is now in the early stages of development.
The Costanera Highway is the newest and best highway in the country.
Palmar Sur offers daily flights to/from San Jose on Sansa, Nature Air and private charters.
The 22 mile road from Manuel Antonio, one of Costa Rica's most popular tourist destinations, to Dominical is scheduled to be completed in 2009 and will greatly improve access to the region.
